MVP: Xio for massive damage.
Honorable Mention: Matrin would write it in his book, but it would take more than a standard action. He demonstrates and runs out of time. “Freeze frame!”
We join our heroes fresh from their last battle. Screams and the sound of fire can be heard all over the city. Our heroes attempt to arm themselves, but more goblins attack the square. They dispatch the monsters with some difficulty, Matrin taking the brunt of the damage. He is a tank, so…
After saving a little girl who was cut down by a goblin and getting some villagers to safety in the sanctuary, our intrepid heroes move north towards the village gates and more signs of fighting. They see a well-dressed man cowering behind a barrel and being attacked by a party of goblins. One of them is mounted on a rat-like dog creature. During the battle, Linnea goes down.
They dispatch them, and well dressed man introduces himself as Lord Foxglove. Leaving him behind at the White Deer Inn, they move on to the garrison to see how they can help. By that time, the goblins had already been routed by city guard and were fleeing the city.
Xio and Matrin go to the Rusty Dragon to drink and celebrate and are given free rooms by Amiko.
The next morning, our heroes meet up at the White Deer Inn for breakfast.
Nafer Vosk the gravedigger and keeper of the boneyard interrupts breakfast with a concern about Father Tobin’s tomb. He awoke that morning to find the door ajar. Moving on to the graveyard, our heroes find signs of goblin tracks and tracks from some other, unknown larger humanoid.
Suddenly, zombies appear! The heroes vanquish their foes, with Xio doing massive damage and splattering zombie ichor all over her friends (she did it on purpose).
They investigate the tomb to find Father Tobin’s coffin missing.
